Over the last three days, we have been very busy for our little town. In the last three days, we have done 15 calls for service. This includes 12 EMS calls, 1 Paramedic Intercept ( that we got canceled to), 1 Public assist, and 1 Fire call. 9 of those calls were in Clinton, 5 in Burnham, and 1 to Unity( cancelled to). Rescue 5 responded to 4 of the calls due to Rescue 6 already being on a call or at the ER, Engine 3 also responded to the fire call in Burnham and also assisted with the public assist. This shows the dedication of all members of the Department to ensure all of our calls are handled. This picture above was when both ambulances transported to Sebasticook ER. Thanks to our dedicated staff and to our residents.

This week is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. We would like to say thank you to all dispatchers for everything they do every day. We would like to recognize our dispatchers at Waterville Regional Communications Center for all that they do for us every day, as well as Waldo County Commications who handles our Burnham calls and Somerset County Regional Communications Center who dispatches mutual aid calls for us. All of you are that calm voice and are the unsung heroes on the other end of the line and the radio managing all the chaos behind the scenes that most will never see. Thank you for everything you do! 🖤💛

Due to the size of the pile and amount of water needed, mutual aid from Burnham Fire & Fairfield Benton Emergency Services was requested. We appreciate the help from all of the crews who responded to help us today.
