May 4th is the VFW National Day of service. VFW posts all over the country will doing projects to serve the Community. We at Post 4168 are asking for our communities help by suggesting projects we could do to help the community as a whole or for an undeserved portion of the community. Keep in mind we are a bunch of old guys and there aren't many of us, 🤣

We would like to thank everyone for making this year's Christmas Dinner be such a HUGE success. 265 meals! Wow! Thank you to Kim Pakidis and Denise Dake of B's Almost Home for putting it all together in spectacular fashion. Thank you to Jesse Owens and Tom Reddington for all their help. Thank you to Michelle Akeman of Red Wagon Bakery for the yummy dessert. Thank you to our fellow veterans of the American Legion and the Amvets and all the volunteers who delivered the meals. Thank you to the American Legion for the use of their facilities. Without every one of you it would not have been possible. Thank You all!!

The post has a new phone number. 217-308-3672. Its a cellular home base and we lost the 935 prefix. The veterans groups, volunteers along with the help of Denise from B’s Almost Home Bar and Grill will be handing out meals on Christmas Eve morning/lunch around 10:30am. Thank you all for your support
