Journey family,
As we prepare to serve and worship together this Sunday, I wanted to remind us of ways to be a generous people and allow God’s grace to flow through us at Journey.

Time: How are we investing our time to profit our church? Where our time goes, there our hearts will be also.

Talents: We should treat our talents as clues to spiritual gifts we may have. Whatever gifts we discover, we should remember that they were given to equip and build up others. (Eph. 4:11-12)

Treasures: We should be generous in supporting our church’s budget to make the good news of Jesus Christ known. But giving earthly treasures involves far more than writing a check. Whatever possessions we “own” are given by God for us to steward for others’ good and His glory.

Let’s pause today and consider the incredible grace given to us in Jesus Christ, and practice obedience, by living a life of generosity to Jesus and others!

For over 27 years, Kevin stood at the forefront of military operations, serving with distinction in the Iowa National Guard, the regular Army and Special Operations Groups.

Christ called Kevin from a life of defending nations to a life of defending faith. Today, he serves as Co-Director of the Stone Church, Ministry to Men in Manchester, Iowa.
