Amanda Harris brings both experience and heart to her role as a House Lead at Share and Care for Special People, Inc. With nearly two years in her current tenure—and prior experience with the organization years earlier—Amanda has developed a strong foundation in direct support and leadership within the company.
Starting as a Direct Support Professional, Amanda advanced into a leadership role, previously serving as a Team Lead before stepping into her current House Lead position. Her journey reflects a natural progression built on hands-on experience, dedication, and a genuine passion for supporting others.
Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Management with a minor in Marketing. While her academic background initially pointed her toward a different path, life experiences ultimately guided her toward a career in caregiving. A special thank you to Jim Falk Motors for their generous donation of a van that is wheelchair accessible! This will open so many opportunities for the individuals we serve. It is donations like this that allow our organization to offer quality services to individuals that may not otherwise have these opportunities! It takes an entire community to join forces to make sure ALL people’s needs are met. We so appreciate them thinking of us!

This week's employee spotlight:

Jayden Fennel has been a member of the Share and Care team for nearly a year, with his one-year anniversary approaching on May 30. During that time, Jayden has served in the role of Direct Support Professional (DSP), working directly in the home environment supporting individuals in their daily lives.
In his time with the organization, Jayden has focused on learning the responsibilities of the DSP role and building practical experience. Rather than rushing into long-term career plans, Jayden prefers to take a steady and realistic approach to professional growth. Their current focus is completing the DSP Apprenticeship Program, a step that will help strengthen his skills and open doors for future opportunities within the field.
Jayden’s perspective reflects a grounded approach to work and personal development. By concentrating on the present and continuing to learn through hands-on experience, he is building a solid foundation for whatever direction his career may take after completing the apprenticeship program.
Outside of work, Jayden enjoys a variety of creative and personal interests. Art plays an important role in his free time, along with a strong appreciation for horror media and storytelling. Reading is another favorite pastime, offering both relaxation and inspiration. Jayden also values spending time with friends and family and appreciates the balance that these personal connections bring to everyday life.
As Jayden approaches his first anniversary with Share and Care, his dedication to learning and steady growth reflects the spirit of the Direct Support Professional role—meeting people where they are, building skills over time, and continuing to move forward one step at a time.
