Clinton County Resource Center

Clinton County Resource Center Your "one stop shop" for resource needs and access to community help. We partner with agencies throughout the community and help connect our visitors with them.

The Clinton County Resource Center is a service offered to the general public in the Clinton County area. A "one stop shop" of sorts, we act as a guide to accessing the many benefits and community helpers available in this area. We also aim to identify and make progress towards meeting the many complex needs of every person that comes through our door. If we can't help you resolve your problem whe

n coming in, we can at least help you make progress towards it! We are walk-in- anybody may visit without having to make an appointment or meet a certain criteria for our help. At the Resource Center, we realize that life happens and that new challenges can present themselves at any time. We can assist you with finding assistance for many needs, including:

-Finding mental, physical, or substance abuse healthcare
-Housing and Rental Assistance
-Food Assistance
-Finding employment or help building a resume, applying, or overcoming barriers to employment due to your background
-Transportation
-Getting your identifying documents (Social Security Card, etc.)
-Getting enrolled in the free cellphone and internet programs (ACA)
-Finding a case manager

We can also provide direct assistance with:
-Writing resume's and cover letters
-Phone and Computer access for job or benefits application
-Setting up visits with the jail
-Emergency Hygiene Supplies
-Creating a budget
-Troubleshooting and giving guidance

As we are fond of saying around here, "If we haven't helped with it before, we'll still take a crack at it!"

So come on over and get to know us! We are located in Suite 105 on the first floor of the Clinton County Courthouse. We are open between 9am and 3pm Monday-Friday, excluding holidays. Or give us a call- 563-242-9211 ext. 4106. We do sometimes close for lunch between 12 and 1, so feel free to leave a message! Have a great day!

Good morning!
As you may have heard, there is a chance that SNAP/EBT benefits will be (at the very least) delayed. As you can imagine, the strain on food pantries will greatly increase if this occurs.

Information and Referral is one of our major food pantries here in Clinton. I asked them what foods are the most needed. They provided the following list:

NEED-
Canned meat
Canned Veggies
Pasta
Pasta Sauce
Boxed Dinners

ALSO APPRECIATED-
Peanut Butter
Canned Fruit
Cereal
Mac and Cheese
Bread
Snack foods

Information and Referral/Benevolent Society is located at 219 1st Ave (the old Salvation Army Church) in Clinton, IA. Please bring donations during business hours, 9a-3p on Monday through Friday.

Thank you!

Thank you to Iowa Wellpoint for your generous donation of homeless supplies!

Good morning! We are low on shoes here in the Resources Center and could sure use some! We have limited space and prefer shoes that don't have to strictly fit, such as slides or Crocs. That being said, there are Croc-style shoes on sale at Hobby Lobby right now for about $4. If you feel so inclined to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. As the weather gets warmer, it is not uncommon to have people come in with no shoes.
