We offer faith-based encouragement, hope, and support for those navigating trauma, grief, and life’s wounds. Healing For Damaged Emotions – Wear Purple Day
Every 2nd Saturday in October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, April L. invites our community to stand in solidarity against abuse. On Wear Purple Day, we honor survivors, especially within the African-American community, recognizing

their courage, resilience, and ongoing journey toward healing. Why We Wear Purple
Purple is the national symbol of domestic violence awareness, representing peace, courage, survival, honor, and dedication to ending abuse

It originated from the 1981 Day of Unity and was later adopted nationwide to visually unite communities in fighting abuse. Every purple item worn sends a powerful message: you are not alone, and we are committed to breaking the silence.
