New Jersey Macintosh Computer Club

New Jersey Macintosh Computer Club Established in 1984, We are a group of individuals dedicated to learning all about Macintosh computers, iPhones, iPads, iPods and everthing Apple related.

Founded in 1984, the New Jersey Macintosh Users Group (NJMUG) is an officially recognized Apple User Group which focuses on all things Apple. Whether you use a Macintosh computer, Apple iPod, Apple iPad, or Apple iPhone our meetings will allow you an opportunity to learn more about them as well as share your personal experiences with other like-minded individuals. NJMUG's strength lies in it's com

munity of members who are dedicated to learning together and expanding their knowledge in the use of all things Apple. Currently, our group has approximately 60 regular members from Northern and Central New Jersey as well as New York State. We are a highly diversified group of Macintosh enthusiasts with many different educational and occupational backgrounds as well as varying levels of Macintosh experience. And we're always looking for new members, whether new to the Macintosh or a Macintosh expert, to join and contribute their talents and skills so all may benefit. Meetings are held at the Allwood Branch of the Clifton Library on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Meetings start at 7:00pm and end at 9:45pm The first hour of our meetings starts out with a Question and Answer session lead by one of our own Mac Gurus. The meeting continues on through 9:45pm with our featured speaker(s) and other demonstrations.

“It is truly mind-boggling that such a trivial attack is successful. I’m almost embarrassed to talk about the bug as it’s so simple — though I’m actually more embarrassed for Apple.” - Patrick Wardle

NJMUG is turning 30! From the Macintosh 128K to the iPhone 6, NJMUG has been there. And this month we're going to celebrate this monumental achievement by hosting our 30th Anniversary Party at the Meadowlands Quality Inn. It'll be a great night of eating, celebrating and reminiscing. And we'll also be raffling off some goodies to those in attendance.

Of course a celebration of this magnitude requires a special speaker and we're proud to announce Macworld Senior Editor, Chris Breen as our featured speaker. Mr. Breen will be talking about "The Future of Apple: Where is Apple Going?"

Chris Breen (Twitter: ), has been a technology writer since the mid-1980's for publications such as MacUser, MacWEEK, and Macworld. He is also the author of Macworld's popular "Mac 911" tips and troubleshooting column as well as numerous technology books, including "Secrets of the iPod", "The iPod and iTunes Pocket Guide", and "Mac 911". Mr. Breen can also be heard on podcasts such as Mac Power Users and the Macworld Podcast.

We look forward to seeing everyone there! And here's to another 30...
