Clifton Kiwanis is doing another Book Rescue! Please bring your gentle used children’s reading books to one of Clifton’s two libraries or to the lobby at City Hall and drop them in the collection box.

Kiwanis Club along with help from Key Club students and Kiwanis supporters collected 88 bags of Thanksgiving groceries, 20 turkeys, 10 hams, and generous cash donations for St Peter’s Haven Food Pantry in Clifton. Thank you to all who donated and helped with this event!!

On Friday, June 13th, Clifton Kiwanis held their Free Book Fair in
School #17’s Media Center. All students of the school were able to choose 2 or 3 books to keep for themselves and enjoy. Each student could also pick a soft cover or board book to bring home to a baby sibling or cousin. It was a wonderful day with huge smiles from these happy readers. The event lasted until 1 pm when the school was dismissed due to a half-day schedule. Dr. Catherine Chidiak and her K-Kids Club (the elementary school version of the Kiwanis and Key Clubs) were great
hosts for this event. A special thank you to Principal L. Zagorski of School #17. Both clubs now look forward to doing future events together!

This project began back in the winter months. Clifton Kiwanis Club thanks all the community members who were involved, from those who donated books, to the staff at the 3 collection sites - City Hall, Main Memorial Library, and Allwood Library.
