The Beneficio Propio Club-Clifton, AZ I am proud to carry on the tradition of my great grandfather Abraham Rivas, Sr.

Non-Profit Burial Association We, residents of Greenlee County, with the humanitarian object of bringing brotherly help to members of this organization, formed this Club and the Club shall be known as the "Beneficio Propio Club". History: The Beneficio Club was formed during the times of segregation, certain miners in the community were unable to recieve insurance based off of race so in order to

cover the costs of burial the community came together to help. Traditionally, a collection would be taken up door to door when a family of the community lost a loved one, the money would be counted by the founders and taken to the family this would help with burial cost, food, medical bills and etc. one of the founders by helping collect and performing secretarial duties for the Club. On average the Beneficio Propio pays 50,000 to 55,000 thousand dollars a year, helping families around the community, but not without your help. Thank you for your contributions to the community family of Greenlee county and surrounding areas.

This is Desiree Mendoza everyone, with being so close to this particular loss my honey Rey Mendoza was part of the Beneficio Propio Club that my family so proudly represents as well as he did. Attached is a link to my husbands webpage. May you rest in blissful slumber, fishing in the crystal waters of heaven and just maybe you can find someone to take the fish off the hook besides me;) LOL, Rey didn't like fish, loved fish but didn't like to touch them. LOL. Good memories.

We would like to thank you for your generous contributions throughout the year, many families have expressed to us through personal stories of how the benefit they received assisted their family during their time of loss. Many used these funds to start funeral arrangements, pay final costs of burial, or other necessities during their time of loss. Your contributions are not only a security for you and your family but for many others who are in need.
Though we never plan on tragedy or loss, we can all plan on community and charity as long as we are Club Members. We are proud to belong to such a historical and giving non-profit organization such as The Beneficio Propio Club of Clifton, Arizona. We would also like to extend our condolences to those who may have had a loss within their own family and would like you to know, we as a club care about all our members and your loved ones will be missed.

Services for my Grandfather Andres Contreras will be at Sacred Heart in Clifton, Arizona Tuesday July 17th, at 10 AM. My grandfather was a officer of the Beneficio Propio Club and proudly served the community by creating and grading roads for the Clifton and Morenci area...my grandfather did not officially retire from his grader until he was 80 years old...that is why many knee him as Conquers! He conquered many things in his life, my grandfather was a generous and kind man and will be greatly missed!

Beneficio Propio is currently on Case #28, our hearts go out to our family and friends that have lost loved ones. We keep you close to our hearts and pray for peace in your hearts. So sorry for your loss.
