Today, I celebrate the life of my brother, my hero, who bravely lived with a severe traumatic brain injury for almost 40 years.

Though he left us almost a year ago, his strength and resilience continue to inspire us. In honor of his memory, I want to highlight The Dennis John Benigno Traumatic Brain Injury Reauthorization Act, which supports vital programs and services for individuals living with TBI.

Let’s continue to raise awareness and advocate for those affected by TBI.

Happy Birthday in heaven, my baby brother. Your legacy lives on in our hearts and through the many lives you touched. 💚

We are about a week away from the 2nd annual Battle of the Bands fundraiser for The Coalition for Brain Injury Research. Our wish is to make this year an even bigger success than last year.

The Coalition is my brother, Dennis John Benigno’s legacy and our hope is to continue to raise money for research that will help others with TBI’s.

Traumatic Brain Injury does not receive the attention it deserves. So join us on March 1st if you love Rock and Roll, want to support a very important cause and are looking for something fun to do on Friday night🕺🍸Thanks to the two bands performing Running With Scissors and Yesterdaze Gone NJ. On January 29, 2024, our inspiration for The Coalition for Brain Injury Research, Dennis John Benigno, passed away. Dennis’s passing has created even more passion to bringing awareness to this cause. Without continued research it is impossible to help individuals with any form of brain injury. As a result we are planning the 2nd Annual Battle of the Bands. The event will be held at the Clifton Boy’s Club on March 1, 2024. Tickets will be sold at the door. Please bring your own food and drinks. See attached flyer for additional details. In 1984, our son Dennis, aged 15, experienced a severe traumatic brain injury after being hit by a car. Since then, he has depended on the dedicated care of his parents and a team of caregivers. Unfortunately, due to increasing care needs, Dennis can no longer stay at home. Many others face similar challenges due to brain injuries, and Dennis is not alone in this battle.
