On my way home from making a delivery this morning to One Missions Ministries. Many thanks to Jeremy Knight of FBC Brownsville and his colleagues (I am sorry I am so bad with name) for unloading the trailer.

My brother, Abraham Barberi , has a lot going on in his family. Please lift him and them up in prayer.

Handing over the keys to their new house to Luz Maria and Emisael. Emisael hugged me for all he was worth and just broke down weeping with joy on my shoulder.

Isn’t God good!!!!

End of day 6. I must admit to spending a bit of time in my chair under the shade we built of the front of the house!!

We will go back tomorrow morning to hang and trim doors and do some final interior trim and drywall work. We weren’t able to get all the painting done that we wanted to, but we will leave all the painting done and necessary equipment for the owners to do the remaining painting.

We will then have some time to pray over the house and formally hand it over to its new owners!!

Praise God for giving us all the grace and strength for the week. This was a new, expanded house design, and we learned a great deal that will make our next project(s) go more smoothly.

Thank you for supporting us with prayers this week!!

Here are a couple of photos from the end of day 5. We are very pleased with the progress, but we have a number of small(er) things to work on tomorrow. Please pray for stamina and skill as we head toward the finish line!!

Here’s what the outside of our house looks like at the end of day 4. We had hoped to get the metal roof on yesterday or today, but high winds and bad weather kept us from doing so.

We got all the siding on today and installed all the windows. Kevin and Taylor built one of the finest outhouses you will ever see! This was after they did yoemen’s work leading the team in wrapping the house and installing the siding.

Phil and Harry hung most of the wall insulation today. Les, Keith, and John got started on drywall as well. Tony finished his customary “work of art” electrical panel and even held sheetrock to the ceiling with his head!

Karla continues to be one of the most dedicated and selfless people I have ever seen. She is always painting and looking for whatever she can do to move things along.

Lee was pretty much everywhere pitching in on everything.

What a terrifc team!

We need (and are forecast to have) a good weather day tomorrow so we can work later and do some catch up. When we left today, the wind was in the high 20’s mph and gusting above that. It was just about impossible to get much done outside.

Please pray for us to have stamina and strength for a really successful day tomorrow.

Blessings to you all! Thanks for lifting us up in prayer this week!

Perhaps a bit hard to see in this photo, but one of the extra things we elected to do with this house is to insulate the walls and roof. Trying to keep some of the summer heat out and the window warmth in.
