The Not So Common Players of Clifton Park will hold auditions for "Cinderella" on April 12 & 14 at the Shen Adult Community Center on the Clifton Common, off Vischer Ferry Road. Registration at 6:30 pm both nights.

Join community members for a Culture Fair on March 26 at Shenendehowa High School, featuring performances from a variety of countries and cultures. Returned Peace Corps volunteers will also be on hand to answer questions about Peace Corps service.

The extraordinary Dora Myers has directed 60-70 plays at Shenendehowa middle and high schools. After "Babes in Arms," her final production, she will be retiring after 41 years as a teacher at Shen.

Talia Denis has been performing since she was 5. Now she's recorded an album with producers that have worked with Bruce Springsteen, Phil Collins and the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Go Talia!

It's a dream many talented kids have, the chance to record and perform their songs professionally. A Clifton Park girl is getting that chance of a lifetime and she's only 10.

The Clifton - Halfmoon Park Library has a new service for library card holders! Members can now download mp3 files from a database that has thousands of artists and titles for free!

The Town of Clifton Park's Community Arts and Culture Commission is gearing up for a new year! First up: photographers, start thinking about entering our 2011 Photo Contest! This year's theme is "Art in Everyday Life." We'll be posting the entry form and contest rules in the coming months - but you should start snapping pics now, so you'll have plenty to choose from when the contest opens on May 2!

ATTENTION MUSICAL ACTORS: come to the Not So Common Players' callbacks/added auditions for the spring 2011 production, Anyone Can Whistle! Wednesday, January 19 starting at 6:30 pm at the NSCP storefront, Hannaford Plaza between Toys R Us and Joann Fabrics.

DETAILS: Prepare 16 bars from a Broadway show tune. Bring sheet music. Accompanist provided. No a capella singing. Dress comfortably for a brief dance audition (including appropriate shoes). Casting will include an ensemble of 10-15 people in addition to the main characters listed below.
