We Thrive in Whitewater Township Our mission is to promote a clean and healthy environment for the community of Whitewater Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. WeTHRIVE!

is an initiative to make healthy living easier in Hamilton County, Ohio. What started with 50 people in three communities in 2009 has expanded to impact more than 300,000 people throughout 28 communities. is an initiative of the Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH). ter Cincinnati and the Center for Closing the Health Gap. is a social movement of schools, churches, families, communities and businesses working together for a THRIVING Hamilton County. in Whitewater Township is about making lasting changes to keep the community THRIVING for generations to come. Annual community clean-ups, roadside litter clean-ups and recycling is the start of our emphasis with our long-term goals of providing assistance for the clean-up of the riparian corridors alongside of our two great rivers that border our township; the Great Miami and the pristine Whitewater River. Our motto; “Leave the world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it”.

A big thank you to these 7 volunteers that cleaned up the Ohio section of Sand Run Road today (April 12th). Patty Simonson, Brian Parnell, of Parnell Construction, Whitewater Township Trustee Willie Pope along with David, Sharon, Steve and Brad Lutz of Green Acres Kayak Rental. We also want to thank the Dearborn County Anti-Litter Initiative for the clean-up of the Indiana section!

Please consider helping! There will be a Fall clean-up in Miamitown, this coming Saturday and Sunday mornings. Volunteers will be gathering at the park-n-ride at 9am. Reach and Grab tools, garbage bags and safety yellow colored t-shirts are provided.

We had a great turnout today for a litter clean-up in Whitewater Township! Here are few pictures of some of our 22 volunteers that participated. In Miamitown, we concentrated on the Park & Ride and I-74 exit ramps. On Kilby Road we did the area between Dry Fork Creek to Suspension Bridge Road. There were also volunteers that gathered litter on Suspension Bridge and Sand Run.

If you ever want to do litter clean-up, simply send us a message and we will be more than happy to lend you supplies and garbage bags!
