The Matt Haverkamp Foundation Honoring Matt's legacy, supporting law enforcement agencies' K9 Units in the Greater Cincinnati area.

The Matt Haverkamp Foundation was established in November 2005 in remembrance of a beloved son, dear friend and K9 police officer. The purpose of the Foundation is to create a legacy to keep Matt’s memory alive by supporting law enforcement agencies in our communities. The Foundation is proud to have purchased a total of 93 K9’s for local police departments over the years including:

Matt graduated from Colerain High School and received his Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Cincinnati. He became a police officer for the Golf Manor Police Department in 1999 where he founded the department’s bicycle patrol and K9 unit. Matt and his K9 partner, Tibo, had a significant impact on the community’s safety. Matt died July 15, 2005 of injuries sustained in a car accident but will forever be remembered by the many people he touched in his short time with us.

Cost is $125/per person or $500/foursome & includes an event t-shirt & giveaway. Registration and sponsorships must be received by June 30, 2026. Register now via Eventbright link! ⬇️
Registration begins at 7:00 am for 18 holes of golf, including cart. Shotgun start at 8:00 am with a four-man scramble with various contests throughout the course. Catered lunch will be served immediately following golf along with award presentations. Great door prizes, giveaways, split the pot and raffle items.

As National Police Week comes to a close, the Matt Haverkamp Foundation wants to pause to honor the men and women who put on the badge and answer the call every day, often without recognition, but never without purpose.

We remember Officer Matt Haverkamp and the legacy he left behind: service, courage, compassion, and commitment to protecting others. His impact continues to live on through every life touched by this foundation and through the officers still serving their communities today.

To all of law enforcement: thank you for your sacrifice, your strength, and your dedication. We see you, we support you, and we will never forget those who gave everything.

Duel purpose means he can sniff out He**in, Co***ne, Methamphetamine and Ma*****na while also having the ability to track/trail a person, locate articles, search buildings and areas as well as handler protection and basic obedience.
