Today, staff members from Site Readiness For Good Jobs Fund, including Orlando O Grant and Richard Barga, appeared on WKYC Channel 3’s morning news program with anchor Danita Harris to discuss the The Midline and the exciting opportunities and successes it is creating for our community.

During the interview, we highlighted where the project stands today, our vision for the future, and the transformative impact we believe it will have on the Central and Fairfax neighborhoods. The conversation focused on the progress that has been made, the investments being planned, and the opportunities that will help strengthen and revitalize the community for generations to come.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Danita Harris for her support and for helping shine a spotlight on this important initiative. We also thank WKYC Channel 3 for providing a platform to share the story of this impactful work.

Finally, we are grateful to all of our partners, stakeholders, and community supporters who have contributed to this endeavor. Your collaboration and commitment are helping ensure that we continue to create meaningful opportunities and deliver lasting impact throughout the community.

The Site Readiness Fund and its multitude of partners would like to sincerely thank News 5 Cleveland for recently highlighting the release of the Midline District. Just one week ago, we proudly announced the largest industrial development initiative in Cleveland’s history, and we are excited about the transformational impact this project will have on the city’s east side and throughout Northeast Ohio.

Midline represents a bold vision for economic growth, job creation, and long-term community investment. This 350-acre development will transform former industrial land and vacant parcels into a connected employment hub featuring industrial, office, and retail space, along with a public greenway connecting major job centers.

Once fully realized, the Midline District is projected to support more than 2,500 jobs and generate up to $100 million in annual tax revenue, creating a lasting economic engine for the City of Cleveland.

We are grateful to News 5 Cleveland for helping share this exciting milestone with the community. Stay tuned for additional announcements and continued progress as we move this historic development forward.

We are genuinely excited about the future development opportunities taking shape within this target area, as they represent a meaningful step forward in driving economic growth, strengthening community infrastructure, and creating pathways for long-term sustainability. These efforts are not only about physical development, but also about fostering opportunity, increasing access, and improving the overall quality of life for residents and stakeholders alike.

We are equally honored to be recognized and highlighted by cleveland.com, as this acknowledgment underscores the significance of the work being done and the collaborative commitment behind it. This visibility reinforces the momentum of our efforts and affirms that the progress within this community is both impactful and worthy of broader attention.

As we continue to move forward, we remain focused on leveraging partnerships, aligning resources, and ensuring that development in this area is both inclusive and transformative.

On Thursday, March 19, at East Technical High School, our team—alongside LAND studio and the Site Readiness Fund —had the privilege of engaging with students in the ACE Mentor Program. Our conversation focused on the opportunities emerging within the Central community and the important role these students play in shaping its future.

The students were not only engaged, but also shared thoughtful and insightful perspectives on how they envision their neighborhoods evolving. Their ideas reflected pride, awareness, and ambition—qualities that will help guide meaningful community development.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect across generations and especially inspired by the voices of our young people. Their input is invaluable as we continue to explore future development and expand pathways to meaningful career opportunities.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Principal Tiffiany James, Lead Teacher Mr. Berger, and the dedicated staff for creating space for this important dialogue and for their continued commitment to student engagement.

We look forward to building on this momentum and creating more opportunities to engage our communities as we move this work forward—together.

This past Wednesday at the Cleveland Public Library Woodland Branch, with the support and guidance of Councilman Richard Starr’s Office, we were able to bring together approximately 25 residents to discuss future opportunities in the Lower Fairfax and Central neighborhoods.

This important engagement activity is laying the foundation for major projects that are moving through the pipeline, with a strong focus on resident involvement, resident input, and resident buy-in to ensure we achieve the outcomes our community is working toward.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Councilman Richard Starr for helping leverage the support of community residents, to the Cleveland Public Library for providing the space, to Land Studios ( ) for supporting this effort, and to all of the partners working to identify opportunities that will help build, grow, and sustain meaningful investment in the Central neighborhood.

We are excited to be part of a team of organizations on this endeavor and look forward to additional opportunities to continue engaging residents.
