When I founded Young A.D.U.L.T.S. Inc. in 2005, it was shortly after I read the scripture below and found encouragement to not disregard my youth as means to say I was incapable of pursuing ambitions and goals that I envisioned at a young age. The following scripture encouraged me to believe that even as a child I have been blessed with gifts that can have an impact on the people around me.

Also, by giving attention to these gifts, I can learn more about them in order to grow and mature in these areas to serve a purpose. And, from this revelation, this organization was birthed so that I can teach other young children, teens, and young adults that they too have unique gifts and a valuable life full of purpose.

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭12‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Oakland, CA school district has a great approach for how they are planning for the 2020-2021 School Year.

The key to their strategy is inclusion of all stakeholders involved- administrators, educators, parents and students.

Check out what their superintendent has to say and hopefully their idea can inspire ideas for your school district.

"24-year-old who beat Covid-19 after nearly 80 days in the hospital says she regrets not wearing a mask."

We are very grateful to learn this young lady survived her battle. We hope that her story inspire others to take precautions seriously, so they will not risk being a rare case to experience a severe battle with COVID-19.

Paola Castillo, a 24-year-old Texas woman who spent nearly three months in a hospital fighting Covid-19, says she wishes she had listened to the advice of officials and experts and worn a mask.

Good Morning to All,
I have pondered on the idea just like everyone else regarding how do we move forward and support our children as we figure out how and when they can return back to the classroom and embrace a new normal in regards to their education.

Therefore, I took my many years of experience on all sides of the table to create this memo hopefully to be used as a guide or reference for those that are participating in the planning and implementation process of such ideas.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you would like more context in regards to specific concerns as it relates to what I have written.

Respectfully,

Antoinne M. McKinney
