What an amazing GRIT: Girls Rising in Tennis pop-up tennis clinic turnout yesterday 🎾💓 It was so much fun to see so much girl power and excitement on the courts!

We started the morning by setting the tone, getting to know these awesome girls and volunteers and chose a GRIT goal & word to remember for the day ✨

After, the girls joined us on court for a tennis clinic led by our awesome staff and volunteers- it was so exciting to have so many new and returning players with us! 🎾

We want to give a huge thank you to the Holy Name Girls Tennis Team who spent their Saturday morning with us on the court! What an awesome experience & we’re so grateful for your support 🥹

And of course, a huge thank you to all the girls and families who took the time out of their busy weekends to be with us- we hope you had a great time 💓

This past weekend, six of our tennis players had the opportunity to represent AdvantageCLE at the Cincinnati Open NJTL Meetup during a historic Finals weekend, competing alongside players from NJTL organizations across the region 🎾

After an early morning and 3+ hours of travel, our players stepped off the bus and competed shortly after- and they handled a long, challenging day with incredible focus, resilience, and sportsmanship 👏

They also got to experience professional tennis up close, watching Frances Tiafoe and Coco Gauff practice and seeing firsthand the work and discipline required to compete at the highest level. A few of our players even met Coco and got gear signed! 🤩

We’re incredibly proud of how our players represented AdvantageCLE and grateful to our families, coaches, the Cincinnati Open, USTA, and NJTL community for making this experience possible 🩵

These are the opportunities that remind us why we’re committed to the process- and to creating meaningful experiences for our young people ✨

This past week, our summer camp students participated in a service project for City Dogs Cleveland 🐶✨ We donated tennis balls, treats and made over 100 thank you bags for adopters! 🎾🦴

In addition, our students designed their own adoption posters for adoptable dogs who are in need of a home.. this was a very fun & fitting way for our students to give back this summer 🫶

We had the honor of welcoming Lt. Governor Jim Tressel to our summer camp this week! Our students worked hard on the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge this summer and we celebrated with our annual sports day this week🎾🏒🏀⚽️

What a beautiful day full of fishing & hiking with our green group! 🎣🌳☀️🥾 We caught lots of fish & conquered lots of hills in the heat and this group did great through it all!
