Four actions and one mission!

This month we showed up again and again: raising awareness, educating our community, and standing firmly against the cruelty behind foie gras. Every voice, sign and conversation brings us one step closer to change for ducks and geese!

We’re excited to be heading to VegFair as part of our ongoing mission to end the cruel production of foie gras. This event is a powerful opportunity to meet our team, learn more about the realities of force-feeding and connect with others who want to create compassionate change locally. Stop by, say hello and be part of the movement. Together, we can drive change and end foie gras production! Join us at Pittsburgh’s Vegfair Saturday April 18th, 11:00am-4:00pm at Rockwell Park (East End). Admission is free!

This month our main focus has been attending demonstrations outside of Downtown 140. Our goal is to spark communication in the community and apply pressure to Andy Lowery, the owner of Downtown 140, and urge him to take foie gras off the menu. We had three demonstration this month one on February 15, February 22 and February 28. The first demonstration, we welcomed two new activists to our team. At the second we drew attention from the neighboring business, a music store. We hope any frustrations he had with us standing outside has sparked important conversation surrounding animal rights and we have made it clear that we will leave and never come back so long as Downtown 140 no longer serves foie gras. For our third and final demo this month we were happy to see the Pittsburgh crew driving to join us, adding 4 additional people to come out and stand up for tortured ducks and geese! Thank you to everyone who showed up and stood up this month and because of you, it looks like we had a lot of success! And a message to Andy Lowery, we hope that you will consider changing one menu item at your restaurant, and we are ALWAYS open to having a calm and productive conversation with you. -Cleveland Coalition Against Foie Gras

Slide two:
Sign our petition! Ducks and geese do not have a voice for themselves. Signing our petition takes 30 seconds or less, but by doing so, will help pressure lawmakers and businesses to end this cruelty!

Donating!
Every dollar helps us raise funds for:
•Demonstrations and outreach events
•Public education
•Legal efforts

Contact lawmakers and businesses!
Email your local representatives and urge them to strengthen animal welfare laws regarding foie gras.
Reach out to businesses that still sell foie gras— call, leave respectful reviews, and comment on public posts to drive change.

Go vegan!
Foie gras production continues because there’s consumer demand. Choosing a vegan lifestyle eliminates the demand for all cruelty to animals, including force fed geese and ducks.

Volunteering!
Join our movement by volunteering at local demonstrations and outreach events! We need your help on educating the public, placing pressure where needed, and driving change in our community!

Let’s take a moment of silence to remember one the greatest animal advocates of our lifetime. Her legacy beats in our hearts. May she continue to inspire others to advocate for animals for many years to come. RIP animal warrior! You will be missed!!

We are an organization based in the Cleveland area that is actively advocating against the cruelty of foie gras production. We’re committed to raising awareness about the inhumane treatment of ducks and geese involved in this process and are working to promote ethical alternatives.
Our efforts include:
Hosting protests and educational events.
Partnering with local businesses to encourage humane dining practices.
Engaging with the community to spread awareness and drive change.
