***ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION SEPTEMBER 12, 2026***
The Museum will host a forum for discussing the extensive contribtions of immigrants over this country's 250 years.
The Event is open to the public. Everyone is welcome.
Join us for a remarkable afternoon with members of some of the nationalities that built this country as we continue to celebrate our country's anniversary by honoring the men and women who shaped our nation's history.
We look forward to welcoming a broad audience from many of Cleveland's nationalities!
COME and be in the audience, join in and add to the discission and share your history.
This is a very unique event made possible by the rich mix of these nationalities still with significant presence in the greater Cleveland area and who are active in the preservation of their heritage.
This may never happen again, at least not in this way and for such a special event as the country's landmark anniversary.
The Museum will be OPEN at 1 pm.
The Discussion will begin at 2.

Our SPECIAL EXHIBIT celebrates the Hungarian immigrants and their descendants who have made significant contributions in Science, Mathematics, Business, the Military, Architecture, Literature, Cinematography, Film Making, Art, Photography, Entertainment and Sports.
COME SEE the LEGACY WALL that lists 148 of them - Medal of Honor recipients; Nobel Prize winners in Science, Economics and Medicine; Academy Award winners for Acting, Cinematography, Directing and Music; Pulitzer Prize winner in Literature; all Hungarian-Americans who made contributions to American life in many fields, and in many ways.
"I didn't know they were Hungarian!" - Among the many, some may surprise you:
Calvin Klein, Alanis Morissette, The Great Houdini, Gene Simmons (KISS), Adrien Brody, Goldie Hawn, Paul Newman, Tony Curtis, Adolph Zukor (Paramount Pictures), William Fox (Fox Film), Estee Lauder, Joseph Pulitzer, Andrew Grove (Intel), Charles Simonyi (Microsoft)... over 150 throughout the Exhibit!
THERE IS A WEALTH OF INFORMATION! Learn about their remarkable accomplishments, check out the interactive computer experiences, play with the science and math, discover their businesses' legacy, and watch videos of their personal background and history - all of them have enriched our lives and elevated the stature of the United States of America over its 250 year history.
COMING UP NEXT: A very special event in the Museum on September 12th which will include leaders of several other of Cleveland's Nationalities - Irish, Italian, Polish, and Ukrainian - a ROUND TABLE Discussion highlighting the remarkable contributions that immigrants have made over the 250 year history of this country...

ATTENTION! The Museum will be OPEN on JUNE 19th - WE WILL NOT BE CLOSED! Sorry for the confusion...
As unexpectedly as the problem came up, it has been resolved and we will be open and look forward to seeing you!
Please come and visit us as we are getting ready to unveil the Museum's new exhibit, 250th Anniversary of the United States and the Hungarian American Contributions, as we join in celebrating this Country's landmark birthday.....

ATTENTION! Lecture Saturday May 9th -
There will be special event parking of $20 in the Galleria because the Cavs are playing game 3 in the playoffs at home - GO CAVS!!
You may wish to use alternate parking on the street or other lots.
ENTRANCE into the Galleria will be open on East 12th Street and on St. Clair Avenue. The East 9th Street entrance remains closed.

JOIN US in the Museum on MAY 9th at 2 pm for a fascinating program that will reveal most interesting observations about Cleveland’s history and life in its Hungarian community in the 1920s and 30s – from a most unusual source!
James Pavlish, retired John Carroll University adjunct professor, will present “Letters across the Atlantic” and share the story of the correspondence between Cleveland’s Western Reserve University professor and writer Joseph Reményi and Hungarian poet, writer, and journalist Dezső Kosztolányi and the untold stories they reveal of the early Hungarian-American community in Cleveland.
Stay after the program to talk to Mr. Pavlish and enjoy refreshments and the company of other attendees.
Open to the public - all are welcome.
Suggested donation: $10 for adults, $5 for students.
The Museum will be open from 1-4 pm. We invite you to visit our exhibits, library and gift shop and browse our Current Exhibit featuring the artistry of László Csomortáni Gál, Hungarian artist from Erdély, Transylvania.
$7 parking is available in the Galleria underground garage, a credit-card only facility.

ATTENTION all visitors to the Museum:
The main entrance into the Galleria on East 9th street is TEMPORARILY closed. During this time, to visit the Museum in the Galleria, please use the East 12th Street entrance (pictured below).
If you park in the Galleria's underground garage which is off of Lakeside Avenue, you can use the elevator in the garage to go to the street level where the Museum is located.
THIS IS TEMPORARY until the main entrance is reopened.
