For some Challengers, The 24 is personal. đź’—

Every year, more and more Wish Family members lace up to take on The 24 in 24. This year, nearly 50 immediate Wish Family members are taking on the challenge!

Moms. Dads. Brothers. Sisters. Families who know what it means to receive a wish and are giving back by being part of someone else’s. 🥰

And this list doesn’t even include everyone! There’s aunts, uncles, grandparents, and extended family members who will be out there, running in honor of their special Wish Kiddo.

To every Wish Family member who has laced up, shown up, volunteered, cheered, or supported someone taking on these 24 miles: thank you. Your stories and incredible families are a part of what makes The 24 so special.

✨ Introducing Wish Kiddo, Mira! ✨

Mira is a sassy, independent 4-year-old who loves dressing up, eating popsicles, going to gymnastics, dancing to music, riding her bike, and playing with her baby brother.

She was born with a severe congenital heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. As a baby, Mira spent months in the hospital, has had numerous procedures, and has conquered many complications. As a single ventricle kiddo, she has always been prepared to complete 3 open heart surgeries before kindergarten. She has conquered 2 of those surgeries and faces the 3rd one this year!

Mira continues to persevere and works incredibly hard to keep up with her peers. She has persisted through countless hours of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Mira’s strong personality helps her navigate growing up with her medically complex heart condition.

Meet Bethany, the Director of Operations at ! đź‘‹đź’™

Bethany's WOW story started with an opportunity to help with Eileen’s holiday program in 2024, and it didn’t take long for her to see just how special this organization is. Now, she’s officially part of the team and ready to help create more joyful moments for wish kiddos and their families.

This year will also be Bethany’s FIRST 24 in 24! 🤩 She’s looking forward to experiencing the event for herself and seeing the incredible community behind it all. We have a feeling she’s in for quite an introduction!

This event has grown A LOT since 2015—from just 15 Challengers in our first year to 500 Challengers in 2026! 💙

With that growth comes more questions, more moving parts, and more opportunities to lean on the incredible experience within our Challenger community.

New this year, each of our 10 Wish Teams has a Veteran Challenger serving as a Team Ambassador! These Ambassadors bring years of experience, knowledge, and a whole lot of heart to their teams.

Their commitment to this event has already been such a valuable resource—helping answer questions, share their experience, support fellow Challengers, and so much more.

You don’t want to miss this tonight’s Challenger Connection Call! 🚨

This week, we will have 2 special guests (who are also Sponsors), Carolyn Skledar from and Melissa Bogo from ! They will join us in an interactive call that is FULL of training tips, injury prevention and challenge preparation. Toward the end of the call, Melissa will lead us in an Active Recovery session that you can do from home and any time your body is craving a reset.

This session will be great for all Challengers, but especially if you’re a newbie this year! 1 mile every hour sounds like no biggie...until you’re halfway through and realize how tough it truly is! This call is designed to help you be prepared to care for your body when you need it most.

✨ Introducing Wish Kiddo, Noah! ✨

Noah is our youngest of four children and was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) when he was just a baby. For the first several months of his life, everything seemed normal. He was a happy baby who loved being held by his parents and doted on by his three older siblings. Around five and a half months old, we began noticing unusual movements—small arm and eye motions that quickly progressed into clusters of spasms happening multiple times a day. Trusting our instincts as parents, we sought medical care right away. After a series of tests, imaging, and evaluations, we received the diagnosis that would change our lives: Noah had Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, a rare genetic disorder that causes benign tumors, called tubers, to grow in vital organs such as the brain, kidneys, heart, skin, and other parts of the body.
