Rainbow Pioneers recently had the pleasure of celebrating a milestone birthday for one of its valued members, Derek. The joy on his face was truly priceless as the group performed a synchronized dance, highlighting their connection and harmony. Celebrating special moments like these is a rewarding aspect of our community. We appreciate the staff, volunteers, and interns who contributed to this memorable event.

A few of the Rainbow Pioneers took on The Cleveland Museum of Art during their Chamber Music in the Galleries event tonight!

We posed next to some of our favorite art works and, of course, picked out some of our favorite “queer presenting” pieces!

Come join in on the fun Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland and Wednesday evenings at the Cleveland Heights Parks & Recreation Cleveland Heights Community Center!

It was a wonderful Wednesday for the Rainbow Pioneers!

The West side morning group was joined at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland by the Cleveland Clinic Tausig Cancer Institute to learn more about Colorectal Cancer Awareness! Thanks to Tyler and his colleagues for all of the important prevention, screening, and treatment information!

At the Cleveland Heights Parks & Recreation Community Center, the East side group had “Breakfast and Bingo” night, with an Elton John bingo theme in honor of the knighted artist’s birthday (and Meijer waffles for International Waffle Day)! We played for an “E” on the bingo card and spoke about the important work of Elton’s Foundation and about the winner of the “Style Icon” award, Cleveland’s very own Jordi Luke!
(Special kudos to our intern, Chef Lamar!)

The Rainbow Pioneers East met for our “St. Sloppy Joe Day” party last night! We may not have had beer, but we had plenty of cheer! Food, games, and friends - how lucky we are! 🌈

🌈 Rainbow Pioneers! 🌈

We are so lucky to have 2 interns with our groups this spring! Both have already proven to be a great addition to our programming and we’re excited to be a part of their academic journey!

The LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland is thrilled to welcome Lamar Edmondson, Master of Social Work at Arizona State University and Adrian Sondles, Associate of Applied Science in Human and Social Services at Stark State College! 🎓

Thanks to everyone who came out tonight for the first March 2026 meeting of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland Rainbow Pioneers East at the Cleveland Heights Community Center!

The night was filled with delicious food (a great spread - with some amazing sides made by one of our awesome regulars 💜), delightful conversation (love to talk LGBT Cleveland history 🌈 )and a rousing game of Uno (Matt promises he wasn’t hiding cards 😉)!

Always a pleasure to spend Wednesday evenings with you all! See you next week!
