The Pioneers were painting all day today! 🎨

We asked the east PM and west AM Rainbow Pioneers of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland to make some art for our new room at the Cleveland Heights Community Center and the results are FABULOUS! 💅🏼

Can’t wait to hang them up as we continue to decorate the new space! 🌈

Fall is right around the corner, but the Rainbow Pioneers are planning to enjoy every last bit of summer sunshine!🌞

In September, the Rainbow Pioneers East are officially moving into their own home base at the Cleveland Heights Community Center! 🏠 We are so excited to invite program participants of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland to join us on 9/02 10a-1p and 6p-8p to see “Room 8” before we officially kick off programming in the space on 9/09! 🙌🏼

But, that’s not all we have in store! Both the East and West side Rainbow Pioneers will be joined by Bridget Caswell Photography to introduce and include us in the Indelible Project in partnership with Cleveland Public Library! 📸

And we’re headed back to visit our friends at Camp George Forbes for dancing, games, food, and friends from senior groups around the Cleveland area! 🪩

We’ve also partnered with Zero Doubt Kitchen to provide our program participants with nutritious, healthy meals that are dairy, gluten, and nut-free and made with locally sourced whole foods! 🤤

It’s gonna be a busy month, but we can’t wait to get started!!! Be sure to join us, if you can!!! 🌈

Finally had a chance to upload pictures from our trip earlier this August to Erie, PA, Rainbow Pioneers! We took the day off from programming at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland to visit our friends from Aging with Pride and Persad Owls!

We started the morning touring the education center and climbing to the top of the tower at Tom Ridge Environmental Center Foundation for gorgeous views of Lake Erie and Waldameer Park!

After some Smith's Hotdogs at Sara's Restaurant, we did a drive around tour of beautiful Presque Isle State Park before heading to Werner Books (Loved the large selection of LGBTQ+ reads!) for some local Erie Pa food and beverage samples! (The pepperoni balls from Arts Bakery, capicola from Larry's, ALL of Herb & Honey Bakery’s goodies - and don’t even get us started on the w**e and sponge candy!)

We ended the night at Wooden Ladle ramen & rice bowls before heading to bed!

Such a fabulous visit for the Rainbow Pioneers! Special thanks to Pete Genco for organizing such a great experience! 🌈

We’re here at Akron Pride Festival, Rainbow Pioneers!

The sun was shining, then the rain came to cool things down, but the Rainbow Pioneers of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland are still enjoying the festivities!

Thanks for a great time, Akron! 🌈
