☀️ Summer is still here Rainbow Pioneers and we’re planning to enjoy August as much as we can!

We’re meeting up over in Erie, Pennsylvania to join our friends from Aging with Pride and the Persad Owls NEXT FRIDAY AUGUST 7th! Can’t wait to connect with the groups again after their visit to the Rainbow Pioneers at the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland last year! So excited, thanks for inviting us to experience Erie!

If you can’t make it to PA, we’d still love to see you for programming at the LGBT Community Center Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10a-1p and/or Wednesday evenings 6p-8p at the Cleveland Heights Community Center!!! Join us for games, exercises, socialization, and of course - fun and food!

We’re so thrilled to re-introduce Nova Millett - our Summer 2026 intern with the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland!

A long time Rainbow Pioneers East volunteer, Nova is pursuing their Bachelors of Science in Honors Social Work abroad at the University of Brighton!

They will be working with both the East and West side groups through September!

Be sure to stop by and say “Hi” to them! 🌈

Rainbow Pioneers

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news that Peter Plant has passed away. 💔

Peter left this world on Friday 7/17 at the age of 63.

He had been a longtime member of the Rainbow Pioneers and was a staple of the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland.

Known for his caring personality, his love for his family, and his passion for floral arrangements, Peter will be so greatly missed by every person he impacted with his smile, laughter, and love.

We will keep the group posted when memorial services have been made.

Hug your loved ones, my friends. And remember to be like Peter - kind to everyone. 🌈

Djsihek Sihek is a Rainbow Pioneers superstar! Thanks for inviting the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland Rainbow Pioneers to watch you perform with The Dancing Wheels Company at Wade Oval Wednesday Disability Pride Night!!! Open til 8:30!

It’s been a lovely time with the Cleveland Sight Choir, The Dancing Wheels Company, and the Old Skool band is rocking on!!! Cleveland Botanical Garden is offering free admission, as well! 🌈
