White County was pleased to host the Region 2 City & County Managers’ Meeting today at the Recreation Center at Yonah Preserve.

City and county leaders from across the region gathered for updates from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Municipal Association, Georgia City-County Management Association, and Georgia Mountains Regional Commission, along with an opportunity to share updates from their respective communities.

White County Parks & Recreation Director Kimberly McEntire also provided attendees with a presentation highlighting White County and our Parks & Recreation facilities.

We appreciate everyone who joined us in White County today and the opportunity to bring local government leaders together to share information, strengthen partnerships, and discuss issues impacting communities throughout our region.

Baseball, Softball, Volleyball, Cross Country, T-Ball, and Little Batters practices are right around the corner, and we couldn’t be more excited!

It’s almost time to dust off those cleats and sneakers, grab your glove or volleyball, and get ready for another amazing season! Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to play the sport you love, we can’t wait to see everyone back in action.

This season is all about making memories, building friendships, learning new skills, and having FUN!

Get ready to cheer each other on, work hard, and enjoy every moment. We can’t wait to see all of our athletes on the fields, courts, and trails very soon!
