We are reaching out to ask for your help for a gentleman named Jerry in Cleveland.
Jerry is 70 years old and currently experiencing homelessness. He is searching for an affordable place to live, ideally a room or housing arrangement costing $1,200 per month or less. A living situation with someone trustworthy who could occasionally provide transportation to appointments and errands would be especially helpful.
Jerry faces several serious health challenges. He is nearly blind and is living with a muscle disease, melanoma, a heart condition, and COPD. While he is still able to walk, his mobility is limited and he moves with a slow shuffle.
He also has immediate clothing needs:
XL shirts
XL drawstring pants
Underwear size 36
Shoes size 10.5
Unfortunately, Jerry was taken advantage of by someone he trusted, which ultimately led to his homelessness. At this time, he only has enough money to cover two more nights in a hotel before he receives his next check.
More than anything, Jerry needs hope. He is discouraged and feeling as though he is simply living on borrowed time. We believe that together we can remind him that he is not alone and that there are people who care.
