Tails from Alabama Tails from Alabama is a Non-profit dog rescue. We have saved over 2,000 dogs and puppies since 2020!

Tails from Alabama exists to provide high quality/high volume rescue to Alabama's homeless dogs and puppies without regard to age, breed, color or medical condition. We rescue abandoned, stray and distressed pets from Alabama shelters and communities. We provide spay/neuter services, necessary medical intervention, professional training when needed and a caring foster home till transport. We tr

ansport our own rescue dogs and puppies from Alabama to Maine. Maine (and New England in general), does not grapple with the overwhelming pet overpopulation issues like the South. Maine graciously accepts our unwanted pets, and cherishes them for the rest of their life. And at any given time Tails from Alabama has around 100 dogs and puppies in rescue. Officially founded in 2020, Tails from Alabama has rescued around 1,300 dogs and puppies from Alabama shelters and the community.

We need your help to save 45 precious lives! 🙏

We’re sponsoring Rose’s heartworm treatment and sending her to a wonderful livestock rescue in Kentucky next week. 🐾

Our four “Pickle Pups” are traveling south to catch their flight ✈️ to safety—and their forever homes—up North! Most are heading all the way to Maine 🦞 to start their new lives.
