Neighbors!! Please join us this evening in Kossuth Park from 4-8pm as neighbors from Buckeye/Larchmere/Shaker come together to beautify our neighborhood as a part of City Repair Cleveland Style, a program of Neighborhood Connections.
Please bring clothes in which to paint (we use exterior paint which won't rinse out) community murals, and/or your dancing shoes, and definitely your positive vibrations! Passport Project has a great line-up of entertainment planned, including a free percussion workshop lead by Mohamed Tounkara of Guinea, West Africa and music and poetry by neighborhood artists! We will make peace flags and meet neighbors and make friends!
Do come hungry as we serve fresh hot vegan soup and bread made by neighbor Chef Michael Bayramian. Bring a reusable container and spoon to help reduce waste, if you can (no worries, we have you covered if not).
All free and open to all!
Kossuth Park. East 121st and Shaker Blvd East.
City Repair Cleveland Mini-Fest Schedule:
4-530pm: J.T. Lynch Trio
530-630pm: Workshop of Percussion of Guinea, West Africa with Mohamed Tounkara and Passport Project
6:30-8pm: Passport Project's Community Open Mic/Jam Session which we call Synergy (held at PP on the first and 3rd Wednesdays of every month) takes to the streets. Bring a poem, a song, your beats or music to share. Tonight's Synergy is lead by Ali Boyd and Chester Hopkins-Bey. We have amplification for your voice, guitar/bass as well as a drum set.
Looking forward to a fun time tonight!!! Please do forward this note to all who wish to co-create beautiful, safe neighborhoods with neighbors who are friends who share their gifts.
Peace,
Chloe
