Calling all songwriters, musicians, and lyricists from the Fort Wayne area! Fellowship Missionary Church & United Adoration are inviting you to a very special songwriting retreat designed for you to devotionally create, collaborate, and build community with other creators.

Many of us shy away from being called a “creative” or an “artist” but we believe that all of God’s people are creatives, and our retreats are for YOU! During the retreat, we will have extended time to create, collaborate with one another, pray together, reflect on scripture, share meals, and worship God in community.

UA UK just hosted our May Online Creative Space.  We had a great time nudging our unfinished songs closer to the finish line. What a joy to share in the stories behind the songs and the songwriters themselves. We even got to see a sneak peek into a paper discussing how we might sing hymns that speak to faith and science!

Witney Song Share: We had eight songwriters come to share their songs, get some feedback, share ideas and encourage one another. Three individuals came from 2 hours away, (which is a very long way for us Brits!) so we had dinner together beforehand. It was a beautiful time of community with eight brilliantly unique songs.

The church is blessed to have such humble, relational, creative and gifted local song writers.

Local songwriters from DC and Virginia gathered at Christ the King Anglican Church in Alexandria for a Psalm-centered songwriting retreat. We prayed, worshiped, and wrote new songs rooted in Scripture, beginning with Psalm 102 refrains on Friday. On Saturday, more songs took shape throughout the day, and we ended by sharing beautiful new work and reflecting on how the Lord had spoken throughout the weekend.

More than anything, it was a space of generosity and belonging, shaped by encouragement and prayer for one another. We were reminded that our gifts, creativity, and personalities are welcome and needed within the body of Christ.
