Esperanza, Inc.

We’re excited to share that Esperanza, Inc. has once again received support from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD), through the Catholic Charities - Diocese of Cleveland Social Action Office, this year benefiting our Esperanza Youth Leadership Program (EYLP)! 🙌

We were grateful to welcome Anthony Camino, CCHD Director for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland, back to Esperanza to present the award and celebrate our continued partnership in supporting education and opportunity across our community.

Through EYLP, Esperanza works with students throughout the school year, providing academic support, leadership development, mentoring, and other resources that help them succeed in school, prepare for what comes next, and reach their goals.

This generous investment will help us continue that work and strengthen the support available to the hundreds of young people and families we serve each year.

For more than 50 years, CCHD has supported grassroots initiatives that address the root causes of poverty and strengthen communities. We’re grateful for their continued partnership and for investing in the success of our young people. 💙

🎸🎶 Esperanza was proud to join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for its Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration this past Saturday!

Part of the Rock Hall’s Rock the Block Community Days, the afternoon brought together music, art, dance, culture, and community organizations from across Northeast Ohio in celebration of Hispanic heritage and the many contributions of our community.

Our team had a great time sharing Esperanza’s programs and resources, meeting those who stopped by our table, and enjoying an afternoon alongside fellow organizations serving communities throughout our region.

Thank you to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for creating a space to celebrate our culture and bring so many people and organizations together! ❤️

✨ Connecting talent with experience, insight, and opportunity!

Through Esperanza’s Advancing Talent program, our post-secondary scholars gain more than financial support through scholarships. The program provides professional development, career exploration, mentorship, networking opportunities, and real-world experiences designed to help students build the skills and connections they need as they prepare for their careers.

Recently, Advancing Talent scholars joined creative professionals Myesha Evon and Jasmine Brooks for a virtual Expert Panel exploring what it takes to build a career in the creative industries.

From freelancing and finding opportunities to networking, building meaningful professional relationships, and staying resilient through the ups and downs of a career, Myesha and Jasmine shared experiences and practical advice drawn from their own professional journeys.

And our scholars took notice. One shared that they “learned so much about freelancing,” while another came away with new ideas about “how to reach out to my community and find opportunities.” Another piece of advice that stuck with our scholars? Don’t be afraid to be the needle in the haystack. 💡

Thank you to Myesha and Jasmine for volunteering their time and sharing their experiences with our scholars, and to our Post-Secondary team for their work in making this panel possible.

This is Advancing Talent in action: real conversations, valuable connections, and experiences that prepare our scholars for what comes next. 🌟

Yesterday, members of the Esperanza team were honored to join the The Rotary Club of Cleveland for its annual Community Impact Award Luncheon, celebrating the incredible work of Kindland with Values in Action Foundation! ❤️

As a past recipient of the Community Impact Award, it was especially meaningful for Esperanza to return and help celebrate another organization making a difference in the lives of others.

Kindland’s message of kindness, compassion, and love could be felt throughout the room and continues to reach millions of people across the country.

Congratulations to Kindland on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you to the Rotary Club of Cleveland for bringing our community together to celebrate those making a positive impact!
