Marissa discovered swing dancing at a jazz event and was immediately captivated by the music and the joy dancing with another person can create. She has been dancing since 2017 and started DJing at local swing dance events in 2018. She knows Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Charleston. She is inspired by the classic swing songs from the 1930s and 1940s and primarily DJs songs from this time period and modern renditions of these songs. When she is not dancing, she can be found spending time with her toy poodle, Molly, and playing board games with friends.
