From engineering to ecosystems, this week was packed with hands-on discovery and big questions. 💡🌊🦎

We explored how clean water gets to our homes at our Cleveland water treatment plant, dove into aquatic science at the Tennessee Aquarium, uncovered hidden wonders at The Lost Sea Adventure, and sparked our imaginations at the Creative Discovery Museum!

Science is everywhere, and so is wonder. Here’s to curious minds and future innovators! 🧠✨

YCAP Summer Week One: History in Our Backyard!!! 📚🌞🌳

Monday – Blythe’s Ferry

We launched our summer with a deep dive into the rich and complex history of our community. From the Trail of Tears to Civil War landmarks, our youth explored stories that shaped our region and the people who lived them. 🧡

Learning about the legacy of local Native American tribes and the events that unfolded right in our backyard was both eye-opening and humbling. There’s power in hearing the stories of others. It reminds us that we grow stronger, kinder, and more compassionate when we learn together.

We’re so excited to see where the rest of our summer adventures take us!!! 🤩

April showers bring May flowers! 🌻

At YCAP , we’ve been busy bee’s with our spring projects!

Our students have bern busy painting a spring mural and helping in our community garden! These projects bring beauty to our space and lessons on taking pride in your work.

Third spaces like gardens and art walls give youth the chance to take ownership, develop leadership, and connect with their community in new ways. We’re proud to see them grow right alongside what they plant🌱
