The Central Tremont Block Club is a group of citizens who work together to improve the quality of life in our area of Tremont. The Block Club is organized with bylaws and we meet monthly to bring neighbors together so they may get to know each other and discuss topics of mutual concern, such as the happenings in the neighborhood. We also address issues such as:
LITTER (in lots, alleys and backyard
s or along t...he curb line.) ABANDONED property and vehicles. LAW ENFORCEMENT and FIRE SAFETY. STREETS (plowing, paving, cleaning,, & potholes.) SPEEDING. ZONING VIOLATIONS or CHANGES (industrial noise, odors and pollution). VARIANCES. GENERAL APPEARANCE (parking, lighting, play space, traffic signs etc.) Future BEAUTIFICATION projects. The CT Block Club encompasses the area of Tremont from north side of Jefferson Avenue to south side of Literary and from the east side of West 10th Street to West 3rd Street including the Tremont Lofts.
