Today was one for the books at GEM Beach Marina 🌊💙

The Eriesponsible crew, our kids, ADP volunteers, and a few awesome marina boaters all teamed up to give our childhood beach some love. Buckets, grabbers, sunshine, and a whole lot of laughs turned into a full bucket of trash pulled from one of the cleanest beaches on Lake Erie—proof that showing up still matters.

We wrapped with a big group photo, hugs, high‑fives, and that feeling you only get when you leave a place better than you found it.

Huge thank you to Kathy Sidoti and the ADP crew for rolling up their sleeves 🙌 and a special thank you GEM Beach family for being the quiet guardians of this place over the years. Together we’re protecting a legacy for our kids. 🌱

Over the last decade, Lake Erie has quietly become one of the most microplastic‑polluted lakes in the Great Lakes system. Tiny plastic pieces and debris are showing up in our water, on our beaches, and even in the fish and wildlife that live here.

That’s why Josh, Tony, and Craig started Eriesponsible. We’re on a mission to raise awareness, clean up our shorelines, and teach the next generation how to protect this lake so it stays safe for families, boaters, and anglers for years to come.

But we can’t do it alone. We need a community of people who love Lake Erie to step up with their time and their support. Your donations help us expand cleanups and education. Your volunteer hours help pull plastic and trash out of the water, one bag at a time.

We've been going so hard lately we almost forgot to post about our great cleanup with a great NEO company, Inspection Tech. We spent a great afternoon at Huntington Beach with this crew making a difference!

280 pounds of trash. One beautiful island. One unforgettable day.

This morning started cloudy and wet, but by the time the sun broke through, we knew we were in for something special.

Josh and I joined volunteers at The Keys for the 4th Annual ErieSponsible Island Beach Cleanup—and what a turnout. Crews from The Keys, The Boardwalk, Hooligans, and the entire BFOR Family of Restaurants showed up ready to work.
Thanks to Tito's Handmade Vodka, we had ponchos for the drizzle, cold drinks for the cleanup, and even a raffle with a cooler full of goodies. But the real highlight? Tito's presented ErieSponsible with a $2,500 donation to keep this mission going strong.

We hit South Bass Island State Park Beach, Scheeff East Point Nature Preserve, Key and Boardwalk Beach, and Perry Monument Shore—pulling 280 lbs of trash off our shores. Then we celebrated with great food from The Keys Kitchen and cocktails courtesy of Tito's.

Thank you to every single volunteer, sponsor, and business that made today happen. This is what community looks like. 🌊🧹

Thank you Port Clinton Middle School and Beau Carmon for yet another great clean-up at City Beach in Port Clinton. We love knowing that we can continue to create awareness on this level due to dedicated partners.

Enjoyed a wonderful event to round out the Earth day week with Lorain Metroparks at Lakeview Park.

They showed the documentary that we are part of called Ripples of Plastic, available at gooddocs.net

Then we enjoyed a panel discussion, Bebot presentation and a beach cleanup.
