🧑‍🎨🚂 The time is fast approaching for locomotive No. 250 to enter the paint booth — and a generous volunteer will now MATCH all donations and gift store purchases DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR up to $2,500! www.americansteamrailroad.org/donate

🎨 Once raised, the grand total of $5,000 will cover the remaining labor costs for PAINTING No. 250 in its striking red, white and blue scheme — and the paint is already on order from Sherwin-Williams, painting time is scheduled for the second week of June, and our volunteers and contractors are working almost daily to have the engine ready.

Now, it’s up to YOU to close this $2,500 funding gap to ensure our favorite locomotive looks its best for the Cleveland Railroad Festival, Cleveland Whistle Blow, and excursions in the future! 🫵

Building on our 2025 photoshoot, this year’s event will feature American Freedom Train No. 250 producing its own steam — and it is expected to be COSMETICALLY RESTORED to its full patriotic appearance, making a variety of new scenes possible! 🇺🇸

🔥 Additionally, we will have an expanded cast of props and actors to fully immerse photographers in the Freedom Train experience, and attendees will get 10% OFF GENERAL ADMISSION to the day’s Cleveland Railroad Festival. 📣 CALLING ALL WHISTLE COLLECTORS! The Cleveland Whistle Blow is coming back on JULY 11 — and better than ever! Tickets and details here: www.americansteamrailroad.org/shop/cleveland-whistle-blow 📣

At ASR’s second whistle blow event, steam will be supplied at up to 240 PSI by American Freedom Train No. 250, a massive steam locomotive that recently completed an FRA-witnessed steam test. Whistles not suitable for this pressure may be blown at the end of the whistle blow at a lower pressure. This is a RARE opportunity for collectors to use their whistles at high pressure, and discounts apply for collections of two or more whistles! Advance registration required; terms and conditions apply.

Don’t own a whistle? General admission will allow guests to enjoy the sounds of steam, and whistle blowing passes will be available on-site!
