We are thrilled to announce that three incredible WIFT Ohio members have been selected for this year’s MasterClass Scholarship, awarded through our partnership with Women in Film & Television US and MasterClass.com. This scholarship grants each recipient one full year of world‑class instruction from industry leaders across filmmaking, writing, producing, acting, leadership, and more.

Meet our 2026 recipients:

🌟 Lauren McBride Lauren McBride — A WIFT Ohio member since 2025, Lauren also serves as our Special Events Chair for She Creates Shorts Fest. She’s worked on Fire Lily as a Producer’s Assistant and continues to shine as an actress and creative force in the Cleveland film community.

🌟 Angela Bauza Angela Bauza — A founding member of WIFT Ohio since 2018, Angela is a powerhouse producer, editor, writer, and actress whose dedication has shaped our organization from day one.

🌟 Shalanda Fresh Shalanda Fresh — Our phenomenal WIFT Ohio Secretary and a member since 2023, Shalanda keeps our operations running smoothly behind the scenes. She’s also an accomplished actress whose talent and leadership elevate everything we do.
