🇵🇱 Niagara Falls, one of the world's most famous tourist attractions located on the border between Canada and the United States, was illuminated in Poland's national colors. The Polish colors were visible from both sides of the border.

🌊 The illumination took place on May 2 to mark Polish Flag Day and the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad. The event was attended by Marshal of the Senate of Poland Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, as well as members of the Polish-Canadian and Polish-American communities.

🇵🇱🤍❤️ 2 May – Polish National Flag Day ❤️🤍🇵🇱

Today we proudly celebrate Polish National Flag Day and honor one of the most cherished symbols of Poland — the white and red flag.

The colors of the Polish flag come from the historic coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland: the White Eagle on a red background. This powerful symbol has been known since at least the beginning of the 13th century and was carried by the Piast dynasties of Wielkopolska, Małopolska, Mazovia, and Silesia.

Though these colors have represented Poland for centuries, the modern Polish flag is just over 100 years old, reminding us that history and tradition continue to live on through each generation.

This weekend let us proudly display the biało-czerwona and celebrate the strength, resilience, and unity of the Polish people around the world.

🇵🇱 Niech żyje Polska!
🇵🇱 Long live Poland!
🇵🇱 Happy Polish National Flag Day!
