So, what have we done this semester? Here is a glimpse of the past semester! Wow, I do not even know where to begin. This semester has been a tremendous blessing. It all began bowling, getting gutter balls and more gutter balls, at least for myself that is. The buddies were getting strikes as the peer buddies were simply trying to keep the ball in the lane. The seriousness on our faces mixed with unstoppable laughing summed up our day in late January. February 12th: The love being shared on a gorgeous valentine’s day celebration with kind words and many hugs, revealed the true blessing friendship is. Our buddy pairing ceremony brought tears of joy and some huge high fives. Our wonderful snowy Pancake Breakfast was not a flop, but rather a time to simply enjoy each other’s company and trust, knowing that the Lord provides all the time. The month of March brought talent in the air with amazing dance moves and some glorious singing, all of which were judged by Randy, Paula, and Simon. Best Buddies at Lee learned later on that month the simple ways to give an act of kindness and service. We gladly gave candy to Lee students, telling them we hoped they had a great day. There were smiles in every direction we turned. Directly after, we had a professional tour guide showing us the central parts of campus. Prom was in our thoughts, as it appeared in a blink. The ladies dresses swept the dance floor and the men’s dance moves left everyone speechless. The talents of dancing and singing was definitely revealed on that night to remember. Meeting other buddies from different colleges brought the forming of new friendships. The month of April contained an assorted amount of goodbyes, see you next fall, and I will call you often. The love of Christ is evident and alive in our club, which was exposed tremendously that night. The banquet was a symbolic representation of this love and the genuine joy we share with one another, revealed through the presenting of graduation cords and heartfelt speeches. The following week we joined together, which was a night to remember. Belting out high-school musical songs on the top of our lungs and hearing the crunch of popcorn next to one another was a sweet ending to our spectacular semester.
