Today, the Exchange Club of Cleveland welcomed Emily Havens, Executive Director of the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi, as our guest speaker.

Emily shared how the museum is celebrating its 10th anniversary year and highlighted its incredible impact on education, tourism, and the Mississippi Delta. From serving 40,000 students through educational programs to offering free music lessons, summer camps, sensory-friendly events, and community wellness programs, the museum continues to enrich lives throughout our region.

We were especially impressed to learn that 78% of the museumโ€™s programs are offered free of charge and that 91% of visitors in 2025 came from outside Bolivar County, helping drive tourism and economic growth in our community.

Thank you, Emily, for sharing the story of this remarkable institution and all it does for Mississippi!

Today, Exchange Club President Belinda Williford accepted a generous donation from Kappa Delta sorority at Delta State University, represented by Elese Serio.

Each year, Kappa Delta hosts fundraisers and special events to support Prevent Child Abuse America, and a portion of those proceeds is donated to the Exchange Club to help further our local child abuse prevention initiatives. The Exchange Clubโ€™s national focus on the prevention of child abuse makes this partnership especially meaningful.

We are incredibly grateful to Kappa Delta for their continued commitment to children and families in our community. Their generosity helps us support programs and projects that promote safe, healthy, and nurturing environments for children.

Thank you, Kappa Delta Gamma Psi, for making a difference! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Downtown Cleveland is dressed in red, white, and blue once again for Memorial Day weekend. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Exchange Club members Bob and Belinda Williford spent time this week helping place our annual downtown flag display, a long-standing Exchange Club tradition honoring the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

This yearโ€™s display also includes special Betsy Ross โ€œAmerica 250โ€ flags commemorating the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026. Featuring the original 13-star circle design, the flags serve as a reminder of our nationโ€™s beginnings and the enduring spirit of freedom and patriotism that continues today. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

This week, the Exchange Club of Cleveland was honored to hear from Nate Roark, invited by Dena Weeks, as he shared about his recent international mission trip to a closed country in South Asia.

Nate spoke about the challenges of trekking through remote Himalayan mountain villages, the purpose of mission work, and the importance of the Great Commission to โ€œgo and make disciples.โ€ He also shared ways everyone can support missions through prayer, financial support, helping those who are called to go, or by going themselves.

Thank you to Nate for such an inspiring and impactful presentation, and to Ashley Weeks for assisting with the slideshow presentation!

This weekโ€™s Exchange Club program featured fellow Exchangite Carley Brown, CRM Analyst with Delta State University Admissions, along with guests Dr. Curtis Coleman and Sydney Pittman. The group shared information about Delta Stateโ€™s new AI Recruiter platform, which helps answer student questions quickly and consistently โ€” even after hours.

Members learned how the AI system can respond to calls in seconds, direct students to the proper departments, and provide follow-up information when needed. Carley explained how the platform has been carefully developed over the past year and how the Admissions team continuously reviews and updates responses to keep information accurate and helpful.

Thank you to Carley, Dr. Coleman, and Sydney for an interesting look at how Delta State is using innovative technology to better serve students!

We were proud to support the Kappa Delta Gamma Psi Shamrock Tennis Mixer again this year! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ€

This event raises money to help prevent child abuse, and weโ€™re thankful to partner with these amazing young women in such an important mission.

The Exchange Club provided food for the playersโ€”huge thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

We appreciate Kappa Delta for continuing to give back and for their support of our child abuse prevention efforts right here in our community.
