The Cinematic Symphony Orchestra is an exciting new orchestra and 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is enriching the artistic landscape of Northeastern Ohio and inspiring a new generation of musicians. This groundbreaking ensemble is one of the only orchestras in the world dedicated exclusively to the artform of film music. The Cinematic Symphony Orchestra aspires not only to bring this under
appreciated genre of music to life in the concert hall, but to reach out and connect with members of the communityโhosting engaging concerts and special events, collaborating with local education programs, and drawing new audiences into the rich and expressive realm of classical music. The Cinematic Symphony Orchestra was founded in December 2023 by Dr. Andrew Keller as a sister symphony to the Video Game Symphony, a groundbreaking group co-founded by Andrew just six months prior. The CSO was created as an analogue to the VGS, except in the field of film music, and together, the two have been positioned to bring an increasing amount of attention and respect to these underrepresented genres, as well as to enthusiastically promote them as the future of classical music. The Cinematic Symphony Orchestra recently gave a series of electrifying themed performances at the Maltz Performing Arts Center, including SUPERHEROES--LIVE IN CONCERT, CHRISTMAS AT THE MOVIES, LOVE IS IN THE AIR, and SCI-FI SPECTACULAR. Bringing timeless film soundtracks to life with stunning symphonic colors and epic orchestral landscapes, the Cinematic Symphony Orchestra is an experience not to be missed!
