While putting up some holiday decorations, I discovered this little rose in the mini bed. Taken December 1, this is quite a contrast to the post of December 1, 2020. Shows the results of our record November heat.

North Coast Hosta Society is sad to report that President, Barb Rauckhorst's mother passed away on November 9. I know many in the hosta world know Barb and would like to express their condolences. Here is info on the arrangements and her address:
Visitation will be Friday, November 12th from 3-8 PM at The Zabor Funeral Home, 5680 Pearl Road, (between Ridge & Snow Roads) Parma.
Prayer service at Zabor Funeral Home at 9:00 am on Saturday, November 13th followed by the Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 am at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 North Amber Drive, Brooklyn, Ohio. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery.

After almost no rain for weeks, we finally had a thunderstorm with about 1" or rain. We can put down that much water and the hostas don't react the same way as real rain and lightening. I particularly noted how H 'Silk Komomo' stood up along with several friends in the area (Zone 6 along Lake Erie -microclimate- in Ohio0
