Happy from Camp Barney!

This summer, our camp puppies brought plenty of cuddles, smiles, and a fun extra energy to CBM — while our very own Gator continued to show everyone who really runs the place. 🐾

Here’s to the four-legged friends who make Camp Barney even more special!

Summer may be over, but so much of what happens at Camp Barney comes home with our campers.

The confidence to try something new. The independence to figure things out. The resilience to keep going when something is hard. The ability to make new friends, be part of a community, and feel comfortable being themselves.

As our campers head back to classrooms, teams, activities, and busy routines, they're bringing all of that with them.

The summer ends. The growth doesn't. 💙

Backpacks have replaced camp bags, but we're already dreaming about Summer 2027 at Camp Barney Medintz! Because once you've experienced the lifelong friendships, beloved traditions, incredible adventures, and sense of belonging at Our Summer Place, it's hard not to start counting down to the next summer!

Our first Friday away from Our Summer Place. 💙

As backpacks replace camp bags and a new school year begins, we’re missing gathering together in the Zaban Chapel, singing our favorite songs, and welcoming Shabbat as one Camp Barney community.

Wherever this Friday finds you, we hope you carry a little bit of that Camp Barney Shabbat feeling with you.

Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day! 🍪

At Camp Barney, there's no sweeter way to end the day than gathering for Milkline, sharing cookies, laughter, and one more chance to be together before lights out.

Camp may have wrapped up on Friday, but we're already missing those nightly traditions—and every camper, counselor, and staff member who made Summer 2026 so special!

Here's to the chocolate chip cookies, the friendships they fueled, and the memories that will last long after the last cookie has been shared.

Some friendships just keep growing!

From their days at The Weinstein School and Club J to summers at Camp Barney Medintz, it's always a joy to see these familiar faces together. Thank you to Rabbi Brian Glusman for spending time with our Second Session CBM campers last week and making the visit so special!
