Rae’s Safe Haven is excited to share an upcoming Pride Month event hosted by the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County!

Join PLYMC for a special evening celebrating LGBTQIA+ stories in graphic novels featuring creators Suzana Harcum and Owena White, creators of the beloved webcomic series Tripping Over You and Living In Future Tense.

✨ Event Details:
📍 Main Library – Youngstown
📅 June 11, 2026
⏰ 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

This live Zoom discussion will explore LGBTQIA+ representation in graphic novels and webcomics while giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from the creators.

🍪 Light refreshments will be provided.
⚠️ Registration is required due to limited seating.

Hey, can you help on Saturday?

🚨 VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED 🚨

This Saturday, May 23rd, Rae’s Safe Haven will host the May Community Meal at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Youngstown — and we NEED as many helping hands as possible.

We are currently seeking help with:
• Set Up / Tear Down
• Prep & Cooking
• Taking Orders / Serving

Time: 9AM–3PM
St. John’s Episcopal Church
323 Wick Ave, Youngstown, OH 44503

A meal will be provided for all volunteers!

Even if you can only help for part of the day, we would truly appreciate it. Please share this post, tag friends and family, or message us if you’re interested in helping. The more volunteers we have, the more people we can support together.
