To celebrate America's 250th birthday, we are looking to flood our Scouting properties with America Flags. Purchase a 12" x 18" American Dedication Flag to be displayed in honor of a loved one, veteran, family member or yourself.

For over three decades, the Stewards have had a positive impact on Firelands Scout Reservation! With the support of our Stewards, we continued to make improvements for our Scouts that will benefit them for years to come.

Fireland's Wilderness Engineers Day is May 9 and we are looking for adult volunteers with skills to help expand our knowledge base. Hiking is a great way to spend your time in the outdoors. Hikes are also good ways to get into better shape for more strenuous activities. Hikes can range from covering just a short distance to the 20-mile hike required for the Hiking merit badge. Some hikes might be on maintained trails that are relatively flat; others are on rough terrain that is physically demanding. Regardless of how long a hike is, it is important to be prepared.

Many of us can feel a bit out of sorts when away from familiar surroundings, and Scouts are no different. Many Scouts experience some symptoms of homesickness during campouts, and identifying these symptoms early and addressing them can help make the event a great experience for everyone.
