We are very sad to announce that Girls on the Run of southeast TN is closing effective immediately. Nearby councils remain open. This closure is only our council serving Hamilton, Bradley, and Polk county. Thank you all for your support and love over the past years. ⭐️💜

Amazing! ⭐️

WOAH! Y’all we’ve nearly raised $34,000 for !!!!!! That’s incredible. I wasn’t sure my goal of $20,000 would be met when I initially set it a couple months ago. I’m thankful has also chosen to match all donations essentially doubling the incredibly positive impact this will have on many young girl’s lives. Today we spotlight a girl on one of our GOTR teams, Hailey!
Every season our executive director and board members visit each team. While at a site visit in spring 2024 Hailey came up to our board chair and said, “Thank you so much for bringing GOTR to us. It changed my life! I needed this group in my life!” Hearing comments like that is why we fundraise and try to bring as many teams to the area as possible so that girls, like Hailey, can be a part of something life changing!

Today we want to highlight COACH JUANITA!
Juanita is a GOTR coach and an inspiration! A few years ago, she set out to overcome an incredible challenge - to lose weight and become more active. She did it with amazing results! She lost over 100 pounds and now hikes, walks her dogs, does yoga, runs, and coaches for GOTR. During the GOTR 2023 fall season, she let the girls on her team know she had never run before and didn’t even know how to run. At the encouragement of her team, she tried running for the first time during a practice. Now she is excited to keep it up and train to finish her first 5k ever!
We are so proud of you, Juanita! You are an inspiration to your team and all of us! Thanks for being a SuperStar!
