Shaker Square Area Development Corp. SHAD SHAD is a nonprofit community development organization that strives to preserve the neighborhood as a vital living, shopping & entertainment district.

The Shaker Square Area Development Corp. was founded in 1976 as the Friends of Shaker Square. SHAD works closely with block clubs, neighborhood associations and merchants associations to enhance the quality of life in the area. Membership in SHAD is a small investment which pays great dividends within the neighborhood. Membership benefits include a subscription to The SHAD Connection (the quarterl

As our Shaker Heights Schools community continues to mourn the loss of beloved Lomond Grade 4 Teacher Najee Hardaway, we share the following information on a community-organized vigil:

Community Vigil:
Thursday, May 28 from 7-8 p.m.
Blacktop behind Lomond Elementary School, 17917 Lomond Boulevard

All community members are welcome to wear Mr. Hardaway’s favorite colors, red and black. Any individuals who would like to bring flowers are welcome to bring them to the vigil.
