NOBS is an association of book collectors/lovers and offers programs and information on books!

NOBS is an association of book collectors, dealers, librarians, and others interested in promoting the production, preservation, collection, and sale of fine and antiquarian books and ephemera, and the preservation and protection of the heritage of the printed word. NOBS is a member of the Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies (FABS) and a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Join NOBS for October's Forum, ROMANCE 101: The History, Evolution and Hallmarks of the Modern Romance Novel with Julie Blitz on October 22 from 7-8:30pm at Loganberry Books. Julie Blitz has been reading romance novels since age 11 when she stole her grandmother’s Danielle Steel novels off her bookshelf. In the 40 years since, she has read many thousands of romance novels, joined romance communities online, and consumed podcasts and interviews with all the OG writers of the romance genre. A mental health therapist by profession, Julie has spent 25 years mired in true tales of unimaginable woe, Julie has deep appreciation for the promise of a happy ending.

It's still 2026, so we're *still* celebrating Toni Morrison! This month's NOBS forum will feature Morrison expert, author, Oberlin College Department Chair, and long time member Dr. Meredith Gadsby presenting THICK LOVE OR NONE AT ALL: TONI MORRISON ON LOVE.

Join NOBS and George Barnum, librarian and former Agency Historian at the Government Publishing Office (GPO) with his presentation, PICTURING THE BIG SHOP: Photos of the U.S. Government Publishing Office, 1900-1980 on Thursday, May 28th, at 7pm at Loganberry Books. His talk will focus on his 2017 book with the same title and the photos, "which are in themselves a very fascinating record not only of the agency but of 20th century commercial and industrial photography".
