Following a transformative decade of operational and capital improvements, Tony F. Sias has decided to transition from serving as President and CEO of Karamu House into the role of Artistic Director, the creative seat where his passion has always lived.
Tony feels proud of what has been accomplished during his tenure as CEO and is excited to focus fully on advancing Karamu’s artistic vision and creative future.

Karamu House moves forward with Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Aseelah Shareef, who will serve as interim President and CEO while the Board conducts a national search for the organization’s next chief.
Karamu is moving forward with intention, stability, and excitement about what’s ahead building on the momentum of this past decade.

Karamu House is holding OPEN AUDITIONS for the upcoming 2026-27 Theatre Season, New Works series and Special Projects!
