Cleveland CEO (Community Economic Organizing) Fostering Solidarity Economy in Cleveland!

We have been formed to facilitate projects that build alliances and open up doors for the soldiarity economy in Cleveland. From housing co-ops to LETS/barter networks to group buying clubs, our mission is to build economic resilience and create infrastructure for real, grassroots, local economic empowerment. Some Current and Future Projects Include:
- Community LETS Framework (underway)
- Communit

y Microlending Network (underway)
- Community Mutual Aid Alliance (underway)
- Cleveland Really Really Free Market (sister project)
- Cleveland Grassroots Community Media Initiative (sister project)
- Co-Op and Microeconomic Development Center (Future)

Though this sounds quite ambitious, we would like it to be known that we are federating efforts between existing projects and collaborating and building a strong alliance. We are also grant funded and currently have some capacity - though please come to meetings to get involved and help grow the effort!

No one should be without water and heat. EVER. As public utilities, CPP and Cleveland Water have a responsibility to prioritize our welfare, yet as COVID cases surged in December and temperatures dropped they ended their shutoff moratorium.
