Scouts for Ukraine expresses our deepest gratitude to everyone, who contributed toward the establishment of a perpetual scholarship at Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). This scholarship is dedicated to spouses and children of scouts, who gave their lives to defend Ukraine. We would like to acknowledge the contributions from the older Plast scouts who organized pub nights before the debutante balls in Cleveland (Шостокрилі - Shostokryli - $600) and Newark (@Чорноморці США / Chornomortsi USA - $442). However, we are especially thankful for the immense generosity of our match-donors, Roman & Bohdanna Kowalchuk and an anonymous contributor, who transformed the $50,000 that was raised for the scholarship into a contribution of $100,000.
While we can never repay the sacrifice made by those who laid down their lives during the war, we can honor their memory by ensuring access to quality education for their families. The education of Ukraine’s youth is paramount in the country’s journey toward rebuilding and healing. This scholarship at UCU stands as a beacon of support for generations of Ukrainian scout families.

«Пластуни за Україну» висловлює глибоку вдячність усім, хто долучився до заснування постійної стипендії в Українському Католицькому Університеті (УКУ). Ця стипендія призначена подружжю та дітям пластунів, котрі віддали своє життя захищаючи Україну. Дякуємо за внески від старшо-пластунських куренів, які зорганізували товариські зустрічі перед забавами дебютанток у Клівленді (Шостокрилі $600) і Нюарку (Чорноморці $442). Але ми особливо вдячні за величезну щедрість Романа і Богданни Ковальчук та анонімному жертводавця, які подвоїли $50,000 доларів зібраних на стипендію, на внесок $100,000.
Хоча ми ніколи не зможемо відплатити за жертви тих, хто поклав своє життя під час війни, ми можемо вшанувати їхню пам’ять, забезпечивши доступ до якісної освіти для їхніх сімей. Освіта української молоді має першочергове значення на шляху країни до відбудови та зцілення. Ця стипендія в УКУ є маяком підтримки для поколінь українських пластових родин.
