10/20/26 Bears Football Player Interview: Sophomores Damon & Gabe: “Smack Them Around” vs. Maryville.

Two young Bears step up as Week 9 hits hard. Sophomore offensive lineman Damon Crenshaw and free safety Gabe Wall sit down to talk about facing a loaded Maryville team, the physical mindset required up front, and what they’re still chasing as players still early in their high school careers.Damon keeps it simple on the Tennessee-committed linebackers: be physical, finish, and “smack them around a little bit.”

Gabe focuses on the Rebels’ passing attack and the chance for big defensive plays in front of a packed house. Both talk grow. Plus the off-field stuff that keeps them grounded (church, fishing, film, and family).

They also look back at how big the Hardin Valley win has become for playoff positioning and look ahead to a must-play-well stretch that includes Maryville and Bearden.

The Bradley Central Bears are back on track after a complete 31-7 team win. Coach Damon Floyd breaks down the standout performances from a young defense led by Porter Grueber’s monster 20-tackle night (third-most in school history), big plays from Javon James and Terrell Goldston, and the continued excellence of a group full of returning underclassmen.Then it’s straight into the fire.
