GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO Media Manager, Jessie McWilliams!

Jessie has been involved with the PTO for six years and has served as an officer each year. She loves being part of a community that comes together to support our amazing students, teachers, and staff.

Jessie and her husband, Ben, have two children at Midway. Macie is in sixth grade, and Ty is in fourth grade.

Outside of PTO, Jessie stays busy serving our community through Midway Youth Volleyball, Midway Viking Theater, West Line Christian Church, the Cass County Junior Livestock Association, and Southfork 4-H. She also enjoys camping with her family and Chiefs football!

This year, Jessie is looking forward to growing our group of PTO volunteers and continuing the foundational work of the Midway PTO. She is excited to keep building on what makes our school community so special and finding new ways to support our students and staff.

Join us for Grandparents & Grand-Friends Day at Midway Elementary!

📅 September 21st
⏰ 4:30–6:00 PM
📍Midway Playground

Come enjoy an evening of free refreshments, affordable games, fun raffle prizes, and lots of Viking fun!

⚠️ Important reminder: Students are NOT allowed to stay after school for this event. School dismissal will take place as usual. Students may return to school at 4:30 PM with their grandparent or grand-friend. There will be no student supervision available between dismissal and the start of the event.

Please note: This event is for Midway Elementary students and their grandparents or grand-friends only.

🙋 We need our Viking community’s help! We are looking for volunteers and donations of:

🧃 Prepackaged drinks such as Capri Sun, juice, etc. — please, NO soda

GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO Treasurer, Fisher Mayfield!

This is Fisher’s very first year with the PTO! He wanted to get involved to play a part in making his kids’ school experience the best it can be and to help support the students, staff, and school community.

Fisher and his wife, Amy, have two daughters. Lily is in second grade, and Daisy is in Pre-K.

Outside of school and PTO, Fisher enjoys hanging out with friends, traveling, tournament bass fishing, and learning about new technology.

This year, Fisher is looking forward to helping the school and its students achieve the goals they set out to accomplish. He’s also excited to help put on events that are fun for both kids and parents while raising money for specific goals and programs, including Operation Cares.

We’re excited to have Fisher joining the PTO for his first year and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together!

⭐ Midway PTO kicked off our Pump-Up Crew this morning! ⭐

We loved welcoming students and handing out inspirational star squishies as they arrived at school! It was also great to see so many new faces joining us to help kick off the school year!

We’re wishing all of our Vikings an amazing school year filled with learning, growth, fun, and lots of great memories!

Want to join the fun? We’d love to have you at our next Pump-Up Crew! You can reach out to us ahead of time or simply show up and help us cheer on our students. Our next Pump Up Crew date is September 18th!

GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO President, Taylor Fischer!

Taylor is entering her second year with the PTO and is passionate about supporting her community through her children’s school. She believes getting involved is one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference and is excited to serve our staff, students, and families this year.

Taylor and her husband, Josh, have been married for nine years and have three daughters: Isabell, 14, Adeline, 7, and Everlee, 5. They are also expecting another little one any day now!

Outside of school and PTO, Taylor enjoys camping, spending time outdoors, watching her children participate in sports and activities, and hosting friends and family.

This year, Taylor is looking forward to doing even more for our staff and students, growing the PTO, and creating an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. She loves seeing the excitement on the students’ faces during PTO events and is excited to see what our school community can accomplish together!

We’re excited to welcome students to school on Monday, August 31st as we celebrate a Bright Start to a New Year! 🌟

PTO will be at the doors beginning at 7:35 AM to greet our car riders and bus arrivals and help start their day with a smile.

💜🤍 The stage is set, and tonight is Back to School Night!

Bring your school supplies, meet your teachers, and stick around for an evening full of Viking spirit and community fun!

Once again, PTO has partnered with the Viking Activity Booster Club to make this free evening even more fun with bounce houses and activities for the kids!

📚 Back to School Night begins at 6:00 PM
📣 Community Pep Rally begins at 7:30 PM

While you’re there, stop by the PTO table! We’re looking for some extra hands to help make all the fun activities we have planned this year possible for our Little Vikings. Whether you can help a little or a lot, we’d love to have you! 💜🤍

We hope everyone has a BEAR-y good summer! 🐻☀️

Midway PTO handed out Bear mini-figs to students as they arrived at school this morning, and it was the perfect way to kick off summer break!

We have loved every minute of serving as your PTO during the 2025–2026 school year. Thank you to our amazing students, staff, families, and community for all of your support throughout the year.

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Midway Elementary Field Day sponsors for supporting our little Vikings and helping make this day so special! 💜💟🤍

Because of your generosity, every elementary student received an official 2026 Field Day t-shirt to celebrate the fun-filled day together!

We also want to give a special shoutout to Party Central for bringing the excitement with the foam cannons, obstacle course, and water slide. The smiles and laughter were nonstop all day long! 🌊🎉
