We know it can be hard to keep track of ALL the things happening with our kiddos! Between school events, activities, fundraisers, and everyday life, things get BUSY! 😅

So, we put together this little graphic to hopefully make life a bit easier and help you keep those calendars organized!

Please don't consider this a complete list of everything happening at Midway. These are just some upcoming events and important dates we think our Viking Elementary families might be interested in!

The end of October is sneaking up on us, and that means our Midway PTO Calendar Fundraiser is coming to an end soon! Remember, all calendars and donations are due November 3rd! 📅

We also wanted to clarify our student incentives because we think our Vikings are going to be SUPER excited about these prizes! 🎉

GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO Vice President, Kenzie Crumpley!

This is Kenzie’s first year with the PTO. Getting involved is something she has always wanted to do, and she’s excited to finally have the opportunity to make a difference in our school community.

Kenzie and her husband, Zach, have been married for nine years and have five children: Kylyn, Karstyn, Kaysley, Jacob, and Jaxon.

Outside of PTO and school, Kenzie and her family stay busy with sports. She also enjoys being creative and working on crafty projects.

This year, Kenzie is looking forward to helping bring new life and energy to the Midway PTO. She hopes to grow membership, encourage more volunteers, and create more opportunities for fun and involvement for our students and families.

Let’s give Kenzie a warm welcome as she begins her PTO journey and helps make this a great year for our Midway community!

💜 HELP US SPOIL OUR AMAZING MIDWAY TEACHERS, STAFF & ADMINISTRATION! 🤍

Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up, and we’d love your help showing our incredible teachers, staff, and administration just how much we appreciate them!

Midway PTO will be providing a meal on October 29th, but conference days are long and busy! We’d also love to stock up on plenty of snacks and fun drinks to keep everyone fueled and feeling appreciated throughout the day and between meetings with families.

We’re looking for a variety of treats, including:

🥨 Salty snacks
🍎 Healthy snacks
🥤 Fun beverages like sodas, teas, flavored waters, sparkling drinks, and more
✨ Anything else you think our Midway crew would enjoy!

💜⚽ TODAY IS THE DAY! ⚽💜

Our Midway PTO Calendar Fundraiser officially kicks off today! Calendars will be coming home with students today, but there’s no need to wait to get started!

We’ve attached a clean copy of the calendar that you can save, share, and post to start collecting donations right away.

This fundraiser has an extra special purpose this year. We’re raising money for new soccer goals and nets for the Midway playground! This initiative was inspired by Midway Elementary students who took the time to write letters to the PTO asking for new soccer equipment. We’ve included one of those letters with this post so you can see where it all started! 💜

💵 We can accept cash, checks made payable to Midway PTO, and Venmo .

If you or your supporters use the Midway PTO Venmo to send a donation, please make sure the donor includes the student’s name and grade in the memo line. This helps us make sure each student gets credit for their donations!

⚽ COMING SOON: READY, SET, GOAL!

One of Midway PTO’s BIGGEST fundraisers of the year is almost here!

Our October Calendar Fundraiser is coming soon, and this year we’re working toward something extra special: new soccer goals and nets for the playground! This idea came directly from Midway students who wrote letters to PTO asking for new soccer equipment for their playground.

This fundraiser is simple, fun, and includes some great student incentives, including an ice cream party, pizza party, and a chance to play the Midway PTO Plinko board for prizes!

Calendars will be coming home soon, so be on the lookout for all the details!

We can’t wait to see our Midway community come together and score big for our students! 💜⚽

GET TO KNOW YOUR PTO!

We’re excited to introduce our 2026–2027 PTO Secretary, Becca Worthley!

Becca started attending PTO meetings last school year and is excited to continue getting more involved, working alongside other families, and seeing what the PTO can accomplish together.

Becca and her husband, Derek, have been married for 10 years and have two children, Millie, 8, and Waylon, 6.

Outside of PTO and school, Becca loves spending time with her family, especially camping and fishing at the lake and watching the kids play sports. She also owns a salon in Harrisonville, so when she’s not with her family, that’s where you’ll likely find her!

This year, Becca is looking forward to being more involved and helping make it a great year for our students. She’s excited to work with the other PTO officers and families, get to know more people in our school community, and help continue growing the PTO.

We’re excited to have Becca serving as Secretary and can’t wait to see what we accomplish together this year!
