Ohio lawmakers are raising serious concerns about a proposed Ohio EPA permit for data centers.
The concern isn’t about technology.

Data centers can use millions of gallons of water for cooling, and lawmakers fear the proposed permit could allow industrial discharges without enough safeguards to protect Lake Erie — a drinking water source for 11 million people.
